The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Poland conducted an Almsgiving at the Embassy premises on 5 February 2026, to invoke blessings on humanity, the Embassy and staff.

Venerable Maithree thero of the Jethavanarama Buddhist Monastery, was invited for the occasion, accompanied by Anagarika, during a visit to Poland.  During the ceremony, the Buddha pooja was performed and blessings were invoked   upon all mankind, including diseased relatives and friends. Towards the end of the event, a video was screened by venerable thero, of the religious activities conducted at Jethavanarama Buddhist Monastery. The event concluded with a session consisting of meaningful questions raised by the devotees and insightful responses given by the venerable priest.
